A strategic
plan was provided to the media to bring forth a clear vision before
the community for their support and to bring forth new members to join
the movement. Therefore, it was essential to implement this policy on
Media. The NOSG has worked with different media including:
Magazine ( Al-kashfia
Al-Omaniya)
Established in 1992.Issued every four months.23 issues were released.
Publishing educational, cultural, technical articles, competitions and
scouting events and contributions from members, internally and
externally.
Distributing it to all troops, Rover crews, Ministries, dignitaries,
and to most of its sister associations around the World.
Issue of various programs and activities
Scouts & guides
in local press & media
Strengthening relationship through different media sources and
providing them with news and photographs.
Issue of a Semi-daily review under name of Our News for publishing
through the daily local newspapers.
Broadcasting activities and events through radio and TV.
Issue of news supplements in the local Press during gatherings,
which are hosted by NOSG.
 Scout Stamps.
On the occasion of hosting these events in the Sultanate of Oman,
the following different commemorative postal stamps were issued:
1984 two stamps during the 16th Arab Scouts Conference held at Muscat.
1986 three stamps during the 17th Arab Scouts Jamboree, held in
Salalah.
1992 two stamps on 62 years of celebration after forming the Scouting
movement
in the Sultanate.
1996 one stamp during the Silver Jubilee on forming the Guides movement
in the Sultanate.
 
Exhibitions
The Oman Scouts & Guides, set up the following
Exhibitions:
The annual Scouts & Guides exhibition.
Exhibitions at the end of the grand gatherings by the Scouts &
Guides.
Participation in the co-exhibition organised by the following
bodies:
International Day of Civil Defence.
The GCC Traffic week.
Rights of the child.
Public Health.
Conservation of Environment.
